Broomall, PA – February 4, 2014 — Philabundance thanks UAS for their collection efforts that resulted in a generous food donation. “With the assistance of donors like you, Philabundance is fulfilling our mission to reduce hunger and food insecurity in the Delaware Valley by providing food access to people in need in partnership with organizations and individuals,” says Stephen Schaeffer Program Coordinator — Food Drives.
Your generous contribution fed those in need and helped Philabundance drive hunger from our communities. The people we serve will have nutritious food to eat because of your generosity and continued support. UAS has been a proud partner of Philabundance for the past 2 years.
Philabundance was created in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry. Our growth and eventual integration with the Philadelphia Food Bank in 2005 has made us the region’s largest hunger relief organization. We are now able to address hunger through direct service programs and a network of 500 member agencies, as well as contribute to a broad spectrum of social services through food cupboards, emergency kitchens, shelters, daycare and senior centers and beyond.
